Young Nephrologists' Symposium Programme

Date – 2 September
Time – 11:30 – 18:00

This one day educational satellite meeting will have two main topics: Renal Transplantation and Adolescent Transition.

The symposium is aimed to attract Paediatric and Adult nephrology trainees and recently appointed Consultant Nephrologists from around Europe.

Delegates are invited to submit case studies which, if successful, will be presented orally at the meeting. Small bursaries will also be available to delegates from lower income economy countries.

The aims of this educational satellite meeting will be to:

1. Provide formal teaching in the principles and up to date information in renal transplantation and adolescent transition planning.

2.Opportunity to discuss European nephrology training and curriculum.

3. Provide a forum for Young European Paediatric and Adult Nephrologists to meet, share experiences and discuss the similarities and differences in their clinical settings and practices.

4. Facilitate the development of work related and social relationship networks to encourage future collaboration between adult and paediatric nephrologists across Europe.

The cost to attend the meeting is £15.00 (this is non-refundable apart from trainee participants from low income economies’ where we aim to refund this fee).
